Weltklasse Zürich Extra Mile

Running is exhausting and not much fun? Try the Weltklasse Zürich Extra Mile. The pilot project gets school classes to enjoy longer runs. The event adds an extra aspect to the UBS Kids Cup programme of events which is all about sprint (60m), jumps (long jump) and throws (ball). Following the Swiss “Lehrplan 21” curriculum and true to the Weltklasse Zürich motto “Never stop getting better!”, the extra mile teaches students to set goals and to stay on task in order to get a little further every week. The highlights of the event include an emotional finish at Letzigrund Stadium and the proud feeling of learning to run 1609m within a few weeks.
