First six Swiss stars at Weltklasse Zürich

Only 100 days to go - then the heart of athletics will beat once again in the Letzigrund stadium at Weltklasse Zürich. On Thursday, August 31st, 2023, the national elite will compete: Ajla Del Ponte, Simon Ehammer, Loïc Gasch, Jason Joseph, Ditaji Kambundji and Mujinga Kambundji want to thrill the home audience in their disciplines. As a crowning finale of the athletics festival, the women's 4x100 m relay returns, also with Swiss participation. An overview of all disciplines can be found here.

"Weltklasse Zürich 2023 is not only the first meeting of international stars after the World Championships in Budapest - we are also home to our Swiss heroes. With Ajla Del Ponte, Simon Ehammer, Loïc Gasch, Jason Joseph, Ditaji and Mujinga Kambundji, we are announcing today the first six Swiss stars who will be at the Letzigrund stadium," says Co-Meeting Director Andreas Hediger.

Higher, faster, Weltklasse: Ticket sales for Weltklasse Zürich 2023 is picking up speed

After more athletics fans than ever before secured their tickets in the exclusive pre-sale for Weltklasse Zürich-Friends, public sales also got off to an excellent start: on the first day alone, twice as many tickets were sold as in the previous year - now several sectors of the top sports spectacle on August 31st, 2023 at the Letzigrund Stadium are already sold out.

"The enthusiasm around athletics is unbroken. We are very pleased about the great rush for tickets for Weltklasse Zürich 2023. We never sold as many tickets to families as this year. Good news is: There are still a few tickets available. But just like on track, you must hurry," says Christoph Joho, Co-Meeting Director of Weltklasse Zürich.
