Karsten Warholm is not only an Olympic champion, multiple world champion, and world record holder in the 400m hurdles – he is also one of the sport’s most charismatic athletes and a true fan favorite in Zürich.
He has already given the Letzigrund crowd goosebump moments on several occasions, most recently in 2024, when he went head-to-head in the legendary 100m cheer duel with pole vault superstar Mondo Duplantis. For Warholm, Zürich is a special place – and he returns with a clear goal: to win the Diamond Trophy at Letzigrund Stadium for the third time.

Botswana’s sprint sensation Letsile Tebogo has taken the athletics world by storm. As the youngest 100m medalist in world championship history, he made headlines early on, and over 200m he has long been among the very best. At the Paris Olympics, he stunned the competition by becoming the first African to win the 200m title.
Last year, Letsile Tebogo thrilled the Zürich crowd with a victory – only to narrowly miss out in the Wanda Diamond League Final. The Diamond Trophy is still missing from his collection, and he is determined to change that in 2025. And where better to do it than at Letzigrund Stadium at Weltklasse Zürich?

In the next three Wanda Diamond League meetings – in Silesia, Lausanne, and Brussels – the final decisions will be made in the battle for spots in the final. In several events, it will only become clear then who will compete for the Diamond Trophy at Weltklasse Zürich on 27 and 28 of August 2025.
