Where Tomorrow's Stars Begin: UBS Kids Cup Swiss Final on 29 August 2026 at Letzigrund Stadium

The finalists will receive additional motivation from some prominent supporters. All Swiss medal winners from the most recent European and World Championships will be in Zurich. European champions Audrey Werro, Jason Joseph and Angelica Moser, world champion Ditaji Kambundji and World Indoor champion Simon Ehammer will lead the way, supporting the young talents and providing additional inspiration.

The Best in Their Age Group

The road to Zurich is a long one. Through local qualifying competitions and 25 cantonal finals, the strongest young talents in each age group have earned their place at the Swiss Final. Now, an experience awaits them that goes far beyond the competition itself: entering Letzigrund Stadium, competing in front of a large crowd and having the unique opportunity to get up close to some of Switzerland's athletics stars. The Swiss champions will be crowned in the classic three-event competition consisting of a 60-metre sprint, long jump and ball throw.

A Stage Fit for the Greats

For many children, the Swiss Final is about much more than competition. They will run on the same track where, just a few days earlier, Olympic, world and European champions battled for victory. The races will be shown on the stadium's giant screen, the young athletes will experience the stadium atmosphere up close and get to feel like professionals for a day.

Meet the Stars, Get Autographs and Get Active

In addition to the competitions, visitors can look forward to a varied UBS Kids Cup Village with numerous activities to take part in. Throughout the day, Swiss athletics stars will be available for autographs and souvenir photos. The popular mascots Leo Letzi, Topsy and Pardy will also provide entertainment in the stadium. Admission to the Swiss Final is free.

From First Steps to the International Stage

Over the years, the UBS Kids Cup has accompanied numerous athletic careers. Many of today's top Swiss athletes gained their first competition experience here, including Simon Ehammer, Angelica Moser, Ditaji Kambundji and Jason Joseph. What begins today for the finalists with a sprint, jump or throw can, years later, lead to the biggest stages in international athletics.

Excitement is building ahead of the highlight of the season. "The Swiss Final is a special moment every year. The children and teenagers have earned their place in Zurich through strong performances. Now they can showcase their talent on a unique stage and experience a day they will remember for a long time," says Marco Meili, Project Manager of the UBS Kids Cup.

Switzerland's Largest Youth Sports Platform

Since its launch in 2011, the UBS Kids Cup has developed into Switzerland's largest youth sports platform. The high number of participants and the outstanding development of Swiss athletics are impressive evidence of the project's importance. Weltklasse Zürich and Swiss Athletics, together with main partner UBS, promote the fundamental movement skills of running, jumping and throwing – from first experiences in school sports all the way to the national elite. In 2026, more than 150,000 children and teenagers have once again taken part in the various UBS Kids Cup activities, continuing the project's success story.
