Schweizer Final des UBS Kids Cups

On your marks, get set, UBS Kids Cup Swiss Final

On Saturday, August 30, 2025, the season’s big highlight awaits 575 of the country’s best young athletics talents: the Swiss Final of the UBS Kids Cup. At the Letzigrund Stadium, the finalists from all cantons will run, jump, and throw in the same setting where, just two days earlier, their idols competed at Weltklasse Zürich.

And that’s not all: 52 Swiss athletes – including top stars such as Simon Ehammer, Angelica Moser, Ditaji and Mujinga Kambundji, Audrey Werro, and Jason Joseph – will be present in person to accompany the young talents.

Record participation and unique atmosphere

This year, 575 children and teenagers qualified for the Swiss Final. Having proven themselves in the 25 cantonal finals, they now get the chance to shine on the big stage.

Anyone who ranks among the best of their age group in the triathlon of 60m sprint, long jump, and ball throw can dream of a sporting career. The Swiss Final is widely regarded as a springboard to world-class athletics. The Puzzle Relay, with another 450 participants, adds even more excitement and movement to the stadium.

Experience the stars up close – free admission

Final day not only offers competitions at the highest junior level, but also a large sponsor village with numerous activities for all ages – bigger than ever before.

A special highlight: from 10 am to 6 pm, autograph sessions with Switzerland’s top athletes will take place non-stop at the UBS container (detailed schedule published the Friday before the event on the website). Popular mascots Leo Letzi (Weltklasse Zürich), Topsy (UBS), Pardy (Ascona-Locarno), and Yuki (ASICS) will also be on-site all day, ensuring fun and entertainment. Admission is free for all visitors.

From the UBS Kids Cup via Weltklasse Zürich to the World Championships

Many of today’s stars once competed at the UBS Kids Cup themselves: Simon Ehammer, Ditaji Kambundji, Jason Joseph, and Angelica Moser all gained their first competitive experiences here before winning international medals. Two days after performing at Weltklasse Zürich, they return to the place of their first athletics highlights to inspire the next generation.

Voices on the Swiss Final

UBS Kids Cup project manager Marco Meili: “We are looking forward to our season highlight, the big Swiss Final of the UBS Kids Cup at Letzigrund Stadium. The kids and teenagers have already shown great performances at the local and cantonal competitions. I’m very excited to see what our young talents will deliver.”

Sabine Magri, Member of the Executive Board of UBS Switzerland, will be present at the Swiss Final of the UBS Kids Cup: “For years, the UBS Kids Cup has inspired hundreds of thousands of children and teenagers across Switzerland. The fact that so many young talents can discover and develop their passion for athletics makes this event truly unique. We are proud to be part of this success story.”

Success story UBS Kids Cup

Since 2011, Switzerland’s most important youth sports platform has attracted well over 1.5 million children and teenagers. Weltklasse Zürich and Swiss Athletics – enabled by UBS – promote the fundamental movements of running, jumping, and throwing both at the grassroots and elite level.

This season, more than 150,000 children and teenagers aged 7 to 15 have participated in over 1,000 competitions – at schools, clubs, and local or cantonal events.
